Basic Text Editing

  • Typing and Deleting Text: Click in the document area to place the cursor and start typing. Use the Backspace key to delete text to the left of the cursor and the Delete key to delete text to the right.
  • Selecting Text: Click and drag your mouse over the text, or use ‘Shift + Arrow keys’ to select text. Double-click a word to select it, or triple-click to select a paragraph.
  • Cut, Copy, and Paste: Use ‘Ctrl + X’ to cut, ‘Ctrl + C’ to copy, and ‘Ctrl + V’ to paste. Right-clicking also provides these options in the context menu.
