Inserting Tables

  • Creating a Table: Click on the ‘Insert’ tab, then ‘Table’, and drag to select the number of rows and columns. Alternatively, click ‘Insert Table’ and specify the dimensions.
  • Editing a Table: Click inside the table to access the ‘Table Tools’ (Design and Layout tabs) for formatting options like borders, shading, and layout.
    • Adding Rows and Columns: Use the Layout tab under Table Tools to insert rows above or below and columns to the left or right.
    • Merging Cells: Select the cells to merge, right-click, and choose ‘Merge Cells’ or use the Merge Cells button in the Layout tab.
